Cuban Popular Music
Celebrating songs of the people from small towns around Cuba, with vibrant instrumentation and timeless stories set to syncopated rhythms.

Party Time
Music that makes people dance in the Caribbean also makes them dance in foggy San Francisco.

All That (Tropical) Jazz
We keep exploring how North American Jazz interacts with the Cuban rhythms and traditions.

Sometimes we go the route of Urban Chill Jazz, and sometimes we let the horn traditions of New Orleans melt with the Carribean rhyhms of Cuba.

Music of the People
Cuban Popular Music, or “Música Popular Cubana”, are the songs created by people in Cuba for people listen to in their day to day life, on the radio, in cafes, parties and street concerts.

Family of Music
We love San Francisco, and make a point to share our music at the best-attended local spots, such as Blondie's in the Mission District.

We have lots of folks on stage, in the tradition of the great dance orchestras of Cuba. All rehearsing and working very hard to make all rhythms fit and flow with each other.

Sound of the Community
Including our community is key to our musical values. We often invite guests, friends and strangers to sit in with us and share in the creation of live music.
The musicians get on stage and engage in a Jam Session - having a musical conversation, in Cuban style, about rhythm, melody and stories.
