Weekly gigs in SF clubs & events, 9 piece orchestra. Weekly rehearsals and strong team spirit, focusing on Traditional and Current Cuban Popular Music, as played by bands in Cuba.
Amateurs welcome if your timing is strong. Focus is on tight ensemble grooves, and musical teamwork.
We also play Cuban Jazz. Most shows are for dancing.

Guajirón is a 9 piece Cuban band in San Francisco playing son, guaracha, boleros, descarga, and Cuban jazz.
We perform regularly across the Bay Area and have built a strong following of dancers and listeners.
Our repertoire is based on original arrangements, giving us a distinct sound.
